Ms. Shuryce “Niqui” Hill is a compassionate and dedicated early childhood educator whose 25+ years of service have profoundly impacted children, families, and the community. Currently an Infant/Toddler teacher at Early Start, she exemplifies what it means to lead with kindness, patience, and love in her daily work.
Children with big emotions and endless curiosity thrive in Ms. Hill’s classroom. She ensures that every child feels seen, heard, and supported. Her belief that “children have a vital voice and are active contributors to their learning process” guides her approach. By genuinely listening to her students, Ms. Hill fosters their social and emotional development, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can flourish.
Ms. Hill’s exceptional dedication has not gone unnoticed. In 2019, she was honored as the first-ever recipient of The Family Conservancy’s Excellence in Early Care and Education Award. This prestigious recognition, awarded to one educator in the Kansas City metro, celebrated her innovative teaching methods and unwavering commitment to the children in her care.
