Dr. Gary Morsch is a physician who believes every person is uniquely gifted by God and called to serve others. He has dedicated his life to volunteer service and founded several mission-focused organizations, including Heart to Heart International, Docs Who Care, and Global Care Force, which Dr. Morsch began in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 1992, Dr. Morsch founded Heart to Heart International, a nonprofit organization focused on disaster response and improving healthcare access in the U.S. and across the world. Over the past 30 years, Heart to Heart has delivered nearly $3 billion in medicine and aid to 131 countries and maintains a network of thousands of volunteers.
In 1995, Dr. Morsch founded Docs Who Care, a medical staffing company that provides emergency department and in-patient staffing to 100+ hospitals throughout the Midwest. Docs Who Care gives medical professionals the flexibility to serve in a volunteer capacity to people in need throughout the world.
Today, Dr. Morsch continues to “run to the fire,” developing bold and creative strategies to address human need. When the COVID pandemic struck, he founded Global Care Force, a new non-profit that deploys medical teams to Native American communities, to immigrant shelters along the border of Mexico, to communities devasted by the war in Ukraine, and across the globe.
Dr. Morsch enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17, retiring with the rank of Colonel. He served many combat tours during his career as a battalion surgeon and combat hospital commander. He has authored numerous books, including the best-selling The Power of Serving Others, and his latest, You’ll Never Be the Same.
